Chopped Carbon Fiber Strand

Chopped Carbon Fibre is cut from a carbon fibre tow, the cured matrix of chopped strand and resin has superior strength and stiffness. Great for reinforcement and gap filling where high strength is needed. It is often used to create a forged carbon fibre look and can be used with compression moulds. It is compatible with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins.

Applications

For manufacturing conductive coats and adhesives as well as highly loaded moulding and filling compounds. Chopped CF strands are added as soon as the resin/hardener compound is ready for processing. Any quantity can be added: the larger the quantity the higher the conductivity and strength.
