The Ming Mei Electronic, also called YingWu data center (Guangzhou science city), which is located in High Technology Industry Development Zone in Guangzhou, needed strengthening because of changed function, which leads its original design should be improved. Through steel jacketing, enlarging the section of the RC girder, bonding CFRP to the slab and girder. The project building is 5 storey high, the strengthening area is over 20000sqm, construction period is about 100 days. They chose the 300gsm carbon fiber fabric, which is 10cm width and cut to 4meters long each. They are bonded to the slab in 10cm distance with each other in # pattern. The 300gsm, 25cm width, 4.5m length carbon fiber fabric is bonded to the girder bottom. And apply the 300gsm, 20cm width carbon fiber fabric in U pattern to increase the shear strength each 20cm distance.
