Glass Fiber Mesh

Model: MAX-GFM

Fiberglass mesh is used in insulation systems as a reinforcing layer, it can provide extra strength to the structure and prevent cracking of the structure surface. Our fiberglass mesh is made from high quality raw materials sourced from famous manufacturer like Jushi Group, which is the biggest fiberglass manufacturer over the world. In this way, we can ensure the fiberglass mesh quality to meet our customers’ strict requirement.
Our low weight mesh can be used in the reinforcement of internal gypsum plaster. It’s the ideal material for the facade of complicated shapes. We also offer high weight fiberglass mesh to give more strength and support to the structure.

FRCM system (Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) consists of cementitious matrix and embedded fibers (glass fiber, carbon fiber, basalt fiber). In FRCM system, the fibers are in mesh form, which allows higher matrix-fiber interface area. The rovings can be coated or not depending on specific project requirement. The rovings are aligned in 0/90 degree, so it can provide strength in both directions.

The function of the cementitious matrix is to encapsulate and protect the fibers, and transfer the stress from concrete or masonry substrates to the fibers. Stress transfer is accomplished through the bonding between the substrate and the matrix. The composition of the cementitious matrix is very important and crucial for the performance of the FRCM system. The mortar should be non-shrinkable and workable, to be easily applied with trowel and to penetrate the fabric mesh openings, and viscous to apply on vertical surfaces.

Advantages

  • Excellent adhesion with various plasters
  • Non-corrosive
  • Alkali resistant
  • High force absorption at low elongation
  • High tensile strength in both 0/90 direction
  • Easy to apply

How to use

  • Surface preparation, leaking problem should be addressed, loose concrete should be removed and rust steel reinforcement also should be addressed
  • Apply a thin layer of the cementitious matrix on the substrate surface
  • embed the mesh into the cementitious matrix
  • Apply another thin layer of cementitious matrix
